Carbondale Community Food Cooperative's
Member Policy and Procedures
- Anyone can place a special order. The general public pays the CCFC cost plus 30%. Member-owners pay the CCFC cost plus 15%.
- Follow all cooperative policies including staying current with your address, membership dues and payments.
- Show respect and maintain the co-op’s integrity by ordering only for themselves and/or household while encouraging non-member friends and family to become members.
- The CCFC will always place your special order. However, we are not responsible for items that are out of stock or wrongly shipped. You will not be charged for items not received.
- Orders must be picked up within one week. Orders left in the store for longer than one week are subject to being sold to the public.
- If you place an order of $250 or more, you may need to pay a deposit. This is decided on a case by case basis.
- The CCFC encourages the use of cash and personal checks. The CCFC pays fees each time customers use credit or debit cards.
- Any member-owner may be a working member and receive discounts on food. Please call the store for details.
- Abuse, misuse or noncompliance of member policy and procedure puts you in jeopardy of loosing member-owner status. This includes ordering for non-members, repeatedly not picking up/paying for your order and missing a scheduled payment on your membership.
- All members are encouraged to share their ideas, come to general membership meetings, vote in elections, and participate in the process in any way they feel comfortable.
- All member-owners up to date on their payments are eligible to run for a position in the Board of Director. Election dates are posted in the newsletter and in the store.
